4 hour layover in Chi-town.
Chicago to Tokyo: 13 hours.
1 hour layover in Tokyo.
Tokyo to Taipei: 4 hours.
1 hour bus ride to my destination: National Taiwan Normal University.
1 + 4 + 13 + 1 + 4 + 1 = 24 hours.
After the longest day of travel we arrived bright-eyed and bushy tailed (NOT) to our lovely dorms at NTNU at about 11pm Taipei time.
Besides the initial feelings of "Oh wow, I am in Taiwan." or "Am I already homesick?" I was overwhelmed with the beauty of my surroundings.
Despite having jet lag, swollen feet and being in dire need of a shower I gazed out from our balcony and all I could do was sigh and be thankful I am here.
